Eric Nguyen

Managing Partner

Eric is a Managing Partner based in our Los Angeles office, where he leads CEO, C-suite, board, and operating partner searches for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.

Eric brings over two decades of executive search and advisory experience supporting growth investors and private equity sponsors across a broad range of industries, including business services, consumer, industrials, healthcare, software, and technology.

Prior to joining Olympus, Eric served as Principal with L Capital Diligence & Advisory, where he led the firm’s deal origination platform and played a key role in launching the firm’s pre-deal diligence and advisory business.

Before L Capital, Eric spent several years at Acertitude, a private equity-focused executive search firm. He joined as Chief of Staff and later became Principal, Knowledge & Advisory, driving search execution and process excellence across the Consumer, Industrial, and Business Services practices.

Eric began his career at the Lancer Group, a retained executive search firm serving global private equity clients and their portfolio companies. He started as Director of Research, moved into recruiting, and ultimately became an Engagement Manager. In that role he led numerous CEO, C-level, board, and operating partner searches in enterprise software, healthcare IT, and tech-enabled business services.

Eric graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science with an emphasis in Applied Economics and Operations Research from the University of California, San Diego.

A student of systems thinking and feedback loops in nature and business, Eric gravitates towards games of skill in his spare time. He has been highly ranked in fantasy sports, plays in live poker tournaments, and was once a Top 50 online Tetris player. His sizable collection of modern and classic board games also speaks to his fun and competitive nature.
